This month in the US, we celebrate on the 4th Thursday of the month the holiday Thanksgiving.  The event that Americans commonly call the “First Thanksgiving” was celebrated to give thanks to God for guiding them safely to the New World.  Thanksgiving Day is celebrated in many ways today.  Although we can hope that everyone takes at least a few seconds on Thanksgiving to pause with a heart of gratitude, only God and each of us know, individually, if we took the time to give thanks to our creator on this day set aside to do so.

How does Thank you go a long way?  Robert Emmons, a psychology professor at the University of California, Davis wrote a book called Thanks! How Practicing Gratitude Can Make You Happier.”  In the book,  Professor Emmons says “ those who offer gratitude are less envious and resentful. They sleep longer, exercise more and report a drop in blood pressure”

This month in our newsletter not only shares tips on saying thank you to others, we share safety tips, financial tips and more.

Thank you for your service in the Construction Industry.  Thank you for being a member of Construction Connection and helping us to supply help and encouragement to individuals and the companies that build America.
